Показать описание
This stunning example of a 650 Triumph Triton has all the right credentials, the buff logbook shows that it was registered as a 'rebuilt' machine in 1965 having been purchased from new by the iconic Dave Degans Dresda.

It retains many original features and some updated modifications done by Dresda 55 years later, including Norton frame, twin leading brakes , hub & Akront wheels

Although started & ridden on a regular basis this is an original concourse example from the iconic Cafe Racer era. Starts on the first kick, rides beautifully and always turns heads when out on the road.

No expense has been spared in keeping this impressive classic running and roadworthy

The original gearbox casing has just been replaced due to the ravages of time along with new bearings and seals throughout.

The engine has had the cylinder head totally rebuilt with new valve guides, studs, seals, gaskets and cam shaft. Also new main bearings, pistons, rings and gaskets have been fitted.

New parts include:

Kick start spring and shaft,

Tony Haywood primary drive belt conversion with new clutch

Engine sprocket and drive chain.

Dresda stainless steel mega exhaust system

34mm Amal carbs,

A complete rewire including electronic ignition

New Dresda Manx external spring kit

There always was this thing...wanting one of these, and actually living with it afterwards....

Unknowingly I changed the handle bars to sit up style. I was 18, and didn’t know any better. I still love riding what seemed to me like the fastest machine in the world at the time.

proportion of motorcycle and tank style is always crucial in making a good cafe racer.

What a handsome looking bike.... Someone must have been a Busy Bee and Ace mechanic to produce that... (Reference to 1960's cafes popular with rockers for anyone who wonders what the heck I am blithering on about). 😄

I am embarrassed at what I did. In 1975 I bought a triton.
Far from perfect like this one but not too bad .

Please forgive me for I knew not what I had done.

Very nice, but that exposed primary chain would make ne nervous. Most of my footwear has shoelaces.

It looks pretty, but bikes like this are why the Japanese trounced the British motorcycle industry.
