TWO UPLOADS??? IN TWO DAYS??? I promised myself I would take the time I've been taking off to make original content. Ig thats what this is.
This time, the animatic is about my character, Phoedosia, who was the high priestess to her country and had a troublesome relationship with the king... Let's just say she's greatly outlived him :)

Okay so here’s what I got:
Disclaimer:This is my perspective of the animatic and most likely isn’t canon at all

0:15 - 0:26
This is Phoedosia and the King meeting for the first time
The King from the start had taken interest with her
This is most likely due to the fact she’s a high priestess and was probably important to securing the Church the high priestess belonged too.

0:27
From the looks of it, Phoedesia is trying to convince the King of something the “common” people need from their King however he’s stubborn and clearly does not care for them nor want to waste resources

0:38

The King is most likely becoming engaged to another woman (from the looks of this man for political reasons)
This upsets Phoedesia as she genuinely likes him and probably feels betrayed.

0:42
She’s just performing a mass as a high priestess would be required too.
However the dragon behind may be foreshadowing the dragon at the end-possibly the same dragon??

0:46 - 0:58
Here is when I think she makes a pact or deal with that dragon previously mentioned.
I think this implies that the dragon is not as good as the people think it is and as the high priestess she knows this.
She is upset about the King’s engagement most likely and has made a brash decision.
This dragon also appears in only reflective surfaces e.g the mirror or this water.

1:01
Her and the King have a disagreement about their relationship I assume.
He threatens her ( I think) but she’s upset and clearly still has lingering feelings
The King doesn’t (probably what the argument was about)

1:17
The King and that woman are now married and Phoedesia is not happy about it
Despite this she stays by the King

1:30 - 1:39
She assisted in political movements or possibly even war tactics for the King however it was passed off as his own work
The King is clearly manipulating her by using her lingering feelings to help him look good.
He appears to be paying her with “affection”.

1:43
Obviously rumours spread of their relationship and the Queen is having none of that as she actually likes the King and assumes that Phoedesia is the one manipulating him.

1:52
The Queen calls her out and from the looks of it wants her banished or even killed and the King does nothing.
This probably helped her realise he’s a shitty man :)

2:07
Everyone is surprised so clearly something unplanned just occurred
SO
I have two theories
1) This is apart of her pact with the dragon to absorb its power or something like that
2) The dragon needs to eat her so she can be “reborn” (pls tell me you understand)

Thus she outlived the King looking fabulous with her new dragon tail and horns

I like how unique your dragon design is, in that it's sharp, monstrous and very cool. The storyline here I can follow fairly well (women scorned turns into fuck off dragon), while having a wider sense of lore going on.

0:53 - 0:59 Ok this little sequence here is fucking incredible, like even isolated and unaffiliated with the larger animatic those images alone are just gorgeous, incredible work on that damn

Such a shame the transformation sequence didn't get more time! I was entranced by the hybrid design and the thumbnail gripped me, but I feel like you missed out on your strongest bit. Still a beautiful animation mind you, but if you ever come back to it, consider putting more of that in there as it's really evocative stuff!

I love the last part of the vídeo where she transforms into a dragon and eats her husband's misstress. But i didn't understood who is singing the song, the king? Or the Queen?

i'm actually in love with your design of the king. you somehow manage to make him look pissed off and bored with just those eye-lines alone. awesome animatic overall!! definitely earned a sub - i'm intrigued to see where this story goes!

God, i just keep watching and re-watching, there's such an incredible grasp of expressions here. You can especially see at 1:55 the facial expression shift so subtly, the differences are so small and yet they convey such a range. All throughout the animatic, I feel like every tiny detail of the characters' posture and expression is speaking volumes that I'm only beginning to understand.

I love this animatic!! Your character looks so pretty, I'd love to see them in more animatics. The childhood backstory and the dragon reminds of the webtoon, "The newlywed diary of a witch and a dragon", so I had to watch the video multiple times to understand it lol
