Andy, hope you got thousands of thank-yous for the way to string onions! I tried to just braid them, but they all fell apart. I had seen your video last year and knew I had to find it again because it will obviously work! Thank you so much for going to the trouble of showing us this. I love your video. Sounds silly but i had no idea how to even get that string started let alone putting the onions on and your the only video I found that showed this. Thank you. I'm pretty clear now on how to do this. I'm sure if I do figure 8s or wrap back and forth will be fine. Thank you for doing close up for me.

Thanks for videoing this as I tried for first timethis year and made a right mess of it. Now I know how I will do a much better job of it for the next lot. Also like the arrangement you have for hanging them in your shed to dry. Going to pinch that idea too :) Do you find you get a lot of earwigs hiding in your strung onions? I had heaps in mine

Cheers Dan i may get into showing some day and i was thinking i may dedicate a new bed at the allotment for the big stuff but see how things go.

I have not had any earwigs hiding in them yet maybe as most of them are hung upside down they dont like it.but you never know as ive still over a 100 to string lol.
