Sounds like they are shooting for a graphical Dwarf Fortress level of realism. Great to see Unity holding up to the challenge

Incredible--just absolutely amazing!! I can't wait to experience such an incredible level of simulation!

Very inspirational concept, but i hope the final product looks more like No Mans Sky rather than RuneScape.

Looking forward to this as it's basically Star Wars Galaxies 2.0 in many ways. Raph Koster is a legend with MMORPG's so I cannot wait to see his vision realized.

Hello, I am new to unity and I had an issue in accessing the asset manager and everything that I tried, (resetting deleting and updating) didn’t seem to work. I am very eager to use this program but I can’t get my assets I or other people has created.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Raph, legend! I have your book! :)
(the video is also interesting, btw, and the game looks cool)

DOTS seems like such an amazing system. I can't wait until Unity makes it a little more accessible for us non-computer scientists

Sounds really cool, but it just has me wondering how much electricity we’re going to be using generating all of these graphics and game objects for the sake of entertainment.

...I just don't get the appeal of such games. The time and "brain commitment" they ask from the player is just too absurd for me.
But I guess, should they not crash and burn like most projects like this, it will be a nice tech demo for Unity technologies to showcase around.

This will be popular for a while, and when the game developers see that there is no "bread" from it, they will stop upgrading and very soon the project will be shut down. There is nothing from this project, wasted effort. As far as I can see, all game makers have some idea about the big world, about the multi-player version of the game, and in the end they see that this is not actually what people, players miss, and very quickly leave the projects looking for meaning in something else. So listen to my words, this will neither bring the profit they expect nor will it be interesting for long. So none of that. I know what the players need, I don't know why they don't listen to me? :) but as far as this is concerned - it won't last long, maybe even the project will be shut down before it is launched.
