Emma Heming opens up about the difficulties of caring for her husband, Bruce Willis, amid his ongoing battle with dementia. The model took to Instagram after asking fellow 'care partners' to send her photos of 'something beautiful' in their otherwise 'hard, stressful' days. In a video taken in her car, Emma says, 'I don’t want it to be misconstrued that I’m good, 'cause I’m not. I’m not good.'

As a person who was a carer for his mother, who had vascular dementia and frontotemporal dementia, life is very, very difficult with people with with dementia, my heart felt best wishes go to Bruce, his wife, and family, I know what they are going through

I was a caregiver to my husband. He didn’t have dementia but he suffered from other bad health issues. I had to sign papers to take him off a ventilator. Prayers for this family. I know how hard this was being a caretaker for a family member that had a severe health issue. God bless this family. 💝💝

You have to take some time to just be able to go out and be normal. If your falling apart, you can’t give Bruce the strength he needs from you. Do what you need to do. This is your husband and family. Don’t listen to the haters and judgers. Only you guys know your reality. Wishing you the best. Having my own health issues, I understand.

I cared for my terminally ill mom. With four other siblings i was the only one free enough to be the full time, 24/7 family member that could scarifice for our mothers care. I will never regret that i was there for every moment. Miss you mom, everyday. ❤

My husband of 27 years has dementia with lewy bodies. It's so hard sometimes, most times. We're in stage 6 now. I really can't get out of our house, and he is not really able to go much. I'm not really ok, but my husband needs me, and I'll continue to not be really ok until he no longer needs me because I love him. ❤❤❤

His ex wife, current wife & their daughters. All 5 of his daughters....
They are doing a great job taking care of Bruce. No one can can fault any of them. They all love him deeply & that's all that matters.

I understand, i took care of my mother in my home for 13 years alone, God called my mom home 1/09/2022, and now i have my adult son who is dealing with mental illness its not east at all

20 years now caring for the LOML. We’re not fine… any catastrophic illness is beyond anyone’s ability to know unless we can collectively get what needs to be done. I wish this country would do better. I’m so sorry for us all.
