I said 7 miles was about an hour out, but that would be slow jogging with walking breaks. At a leisurely pace, 7 miles would be about two hours out. Minor correction but an important one.

This has been addressed many times by many people. There is no contradiction. Esp. in light of Acts 1.

There is merely an difference of emphasis and focus. We have computers and near unlimited storage. They had scrolls.

"Catholic scholarship"... is a phrase you were seeking...

Regardless of whether Jimmy faltered, Ehrman's point seems utterly pointless. Sure, Luke lets all post resurrection events occur in Jerusalem. The other gospels depict it differently. There isn't even a contradiction between a command here and different action there (though admittedly, Jesus commands through angels to go to Galilee). Still it is still easily explained by different authors giving differing depictions.
It is a minor difference and only a fundamentalist or an anti-fundamentalist would be shaken by it. This "if one thing is false, why not allow it" is really asinine.

Bart Erdman likes to find discrepancies in scripture. It was a great question that Bart asked. Thank you. Emmaus... emmay us
Is the way to pronounce that.
