Monday, tomorrow, will be a year anniversary since I attended the build a Tele class ! An all round wonderful experience! Colorado, knowledge, full days of work, hands on guidance, like minded fellowship and of course the guitar that goes home with you . Every time you play it or look at it, that week comes rushing to mind ! Thanks Mat and Chris ! Wish all another great class !

This is true, and why I started building my own guitars. All the little things you want in a guitar (uhm 24 frets maybe) you can make and they can't stop you.
You like Teles, but like Gibson fret markers instead of stupid dots, no problem!
Want a Gibson Diablo but can't find one for sale? Make one!
I got fed up with the same couple of guitars at Guitar Center, now I make stuff no one does just the way I like it.

You certainly can and Luthiers like you that offer training and building classes make the ones we can build even better, The quality of Bodies and necks even for partscasters has improved vastly as well, so even if you buy all the parts and are clueless as how to build or assemble your Dream Guitar, there are many talented luthiers that will assemble it all correctly and set it uo so you can enjoy exactly what you want for years to come. But almost anyone that is willing can learn, especially from Gifted Luthiers like Texas Toast Guitars

So, starter to build a les paul copy long time ago, an it is very legitimately hard as hell. Maple figured top was the hardest to route around the templat, as in had some tearout. Also, made the back of body out hard rock maple had more tearout. The tearout are bad but near edge so going to glue some maple back on and reshape route top edge again.

Is it possible to make a 24 fret, 24" scale or even a 24.5" scale bolt on maple neck in any of your workshops? I'm trying to make something similar to a classic PRS CE24 (alder back/maple top) but with a smaller scale bolt on maple neck. Not an exact copy of a CE24, but something really close. Those older CE24's have some magic. I have 2. I love Mustangs too. I had a hand injury and find them easy to play. Plus they're cool af 👍
