Framing Effect -
The way a sentence is framed often can be used to influence people into making decisions that are not optimal for them.

Thinking that nothing bad is going to happen to you.
Ostrich Effect -
Ignoring clear signs of danger.

Not moving on from a failed venture despite the risk of further failure.
