The way the Groke's shadow slowly moves through the background has got to be one of the creepiest visuals in all of animation. I love it.

Poor Snufkin. He doesn't even have a sleeping bag. His tent is so plain and flat give the poor man a pillow atleast

The groke sure is scary but it's also incredibly sad for her. She wants warmth and love much like everyone else but can't get it because of her looming physique and rather cool condition so that's why she get attracted to light and flames; to feel warmth. Unfortunately they all go out though.

I dunno about you, but for me this must be the best depiction of the groke ever.
The music.
That sad yet eerie moaning.
And the fact that Moomin stops to look at her again as if he knew she was lonely and sad.
