For those asking about iso vs zip.
You need to download "Offline Bundle"
I had the same question at first, but the document link provided shows this.

I followed this step by step and it worked like a charm. I had a minor hiccup because of the folder name. For instance yours said "local" mine had said "ISO" plus in my ISO folder there was another folder name "ISO"...so I change the first one to local-ISO. Another hiccup I had was the fact that I was trying to do it from ESXi 5.1.0 to ESXi 6.7 = bad idea. It failed every time. So I downloaded the 6.0 and it worked. Now I should be able to update from the 6.0 to the 6.7 with the installer they have. P.S my vSphere Client was originally for the 5.1 version...when I tried to connect to the server, it automatically prompt me to install the newer version.

thanks for the video i had an doubt, that is now we will be installing esxi 6.0 in the new server, previously we had esxi 5.5 on another machine, now i want to move the datastore in 5.5 to 6.0 can i make it? will they work?

I try to do this but download from vmware is iso you have zip version. :) So we have to kind of extract from iso and make zip version ?
