We're foggy on the value of LG's luxury clothes steamer

LG's $1,999 steamer claims to de-wrinkle, deodorize and sanitize your clothes, but this pricey product doesn't actually clean -- it "refreshes."

I think CNET doesn't understand the point of this device. It's not a dry cleaner. It's a cloth refresher (styler). It is meant to use daily to remove sweat, dust, allergen, wrinkles, etc. This reduces number of times you need to take your cloth to dry cleaner, and keep cloth fresh between dry cleaning. This is a convenient device for those who wear suits to work.

I think this have been targeted more for hotel rooms so customers can have a quick refreshment to their clothes without waiting for a full laundry when they spend one night

just bought one have not tryed it out yet. got it for 1200.00 on sale. i think it good to have if you have cloths in the closet and do not want to send it too the cleaners. you can just refresh them. i got it now long as it work i will be happy!

I love my lg styler. And don't forget you can download your own modified program for example, to straighten your clothes more or to bring in more freshness. You can individually change the program and change over.
So it is not true what you say.

get a clothes steamer that dewrinkles clothes in seconds, this is a crazy device!!! steam also helps rid odour too and under $50

This is why I trust CNET. You guys provide the facts in a no nonsense manner. The individual 'reviewers' out there on YouTube are just reading out the press releases from Samsung and LG. Anyone with half a brain would know that a $50 iron would a much better job at ironing clothes than a gimmicky device like this.
