Founded in the Heian period (794-1185), it is the oldest temple in Tokyo with a history of nearly 1,400 years, and has one of the highest numbers of visitors in Japan throughout the year.

Especially in front of the Kaminarimon gate, many tourists pose with cameras in hand as a photo spot.
