The BRZ has PTuning's turbo kit, which claims just under 300 wheel horsepower. This car is on a baseline tune at the moment due to complications with a particular component of the kit. It also has a 3" exhaust and the six speed manual transmission.

9 out of 10 turbo setups for the FR-S/BRZ have a top mount setup that puts the turbo right in front of the belt.  Overheating has been an issue when doing track days on boost.  This is the 1 setup that puts the turbo underneath the passenger side of the engine compartment (keeping the low center of gravity concept in mind).  It's definitely worth it when you start comparing components and quality with the other setups.

I'll vouch for boost here. I have a 2015 BRZ with the SBD turbo kit making 300 whp and 250 wtq. On 255 BFG Rivals my 0-60 was around 4.5-4.7 spinning all the way into 3rd. 1st gear definitely pulls hard but like someone else said it's just a really short gear. 2nd to 3rd is when the car pulls the best. I beat a 2012~ Camaro SS in the 1/4 mile. He got me by a car length In the 1/8 but I pulled back around him from 3rd to 4th gear and beat him in the 1/4

on a stock brz or frs can you bring the rpm up to 8000 like he does on the turbo brz? I didnt think it let you go past 7400

I dont think 6k is worth it. I would just go with bolt ons and suspension.

Looks like 0-60 in about 5 seconds flat, vs 6.2 for the stock car.. A definite improvement, though I'd expect much more from 300whp. So it may be a under that target, by a fair bit? Perhaps further tuning??.. 300 WHP in a 2750lb car should deliver 0-60 times well into the 4 second range.

The Frs is automatic, which is already 1 or 1.5s slower than the MT BRZ

Doesnt look much faster than stock i wouldnt pay 6k for just 1sec faster 0-60. Ill just keep my frs stock. Unless theres atleast 100hp and 100ft of torque increase

did a run with hexon Turbo 4 seconds flat. Put into mind tuned ecutek with launch control. however, im unsure if they still make hexon turbos anymore

Ugh... shifting at 8K on stock internals? Got balls bro... 7650 is pretty much everyone's accepted max. Good luck with longevity.

I'm really thinking about pulling the trigger on a AVO Stage 2 or 3, but spending $6K for a 1s improvement? I'm dissapointed now, I might just leave my 86 stock. I thought that 300WHP would be able to achieve 0-60 under 5s.

Interesting, at about 35mph the BRZ really takes ahead. It goes from being 2mhp faster to suddenly breaking 50 when the FR-S reaches 40.
