I paid $2800 for a PowerBook 180 back in 1992. Not a bad step up since then.

I don't understand the complaints about this Macbook Pro. It's a well machined system that's forward thinking. I have the fans on high all the time to avoid cpu throttling. I don't notice the fan noise but I notice how cool that laptop is while using it on my bed or in my lap. The screen is beautiful and the keyboard is responsive. I'm typing better than I done in a while. I am impressed, sorry YouTube reviewers but it's an amazing system.

My dell xps 15 was broken on its own twice within half a year, once I sent it back to dell and they put a new motherboard, once I had to open the lid and replug the battery, but my 4 year old MBPR 15inch is still good as new, changed the thermal compound once but that's it, even the fan didn't stick too much dust over the years. Imo there's no other laptop as stable and reliable as a MacBook, price is way too high but you'll know you can rely on it. Perhaps you can also find it cheaper through education store.

Who cares about benchmarks, every MBP review these days is all about benchmarks. Gimme a qualitative analysis. How does it feel to carry around? Did you drop it at airport security yet? Are you using an external hard drive to complement internal storage? Is it worth buying an external monitor to go with it? How does the built-in screen perform when you're working in the park? Is this machine too expensive to even use in the park?

Always very thorough in your reviews! Thank you so much...I actually went out and bought the highest end MB Pro 15" and love it. Like you said, getting used to the Touch Bar and keyboard...but overall the performance is unparalleled. Great review as always! 🤙🏽

I spent way too much time last year looking at the 2016 vs 2015 15” and decided on the 2015. Sure, the spec bump this year weighs in favor of the new model but I couldn’t recommend choosing the new design over the old if you can save some money. At least go use the new one first. I didn’t love the keys and the massive track pad didn’t have flawless palm rejection. The touch bar was inefficient and I’m already living the dongle life with my phone and know there are compromises.

Netflix in general is really battery-efficient for some reason. I noticed it on different devices.

Changing brightness with the brightness slider is much faster, the same goes up the volume changing.

I bought my Macbook Pro 15 in 2009 for about $2200 Canadian. Gotta say, I think I'm getting my money's worth at this point. Still use it daily

I intend to use my old laptop for at least 5 years. I bought Macbook pro 2015 version in 2018 because it's cheaper, and it works fine, no need to upgrade for home use.
