The object's displacement is the area under its velocity vs time graph. Motion graphs are an excellent way to get an understanding of an objects motion over time. The slope of the line on the position vs time graph is equal to the velocity of the object. The slope of the line on the velocity vs time graph is equal to the acceleration of the object.
