I got these for less than $2 at Home Depot. They work well MOST of the time, but there are sometimes holes (particularly ones that lead into a hollow area on the other side) where they don't quite last over time. For situations like those, a more traditional way or something like the more expensive Screw It Again might be better. That said, I've managed to use Mr. Grip successfully on almost everything, from wood to metal, and the real issue is how much to use, and in what shape. Plus, they work better if you use 2 of 'em or more rather than just 1 strip.

Does this work on larger holes? I have a very thick screw that’s holding the leg on a night stand, but the hole is stripped.
