As soon as Germany heard the word ''beer'' she wanted to be friends 💀

I just asked my Danish dad about the word and he said the literal translation was “beer fear”😂😂

I've never heard anyone use "Schnapsidee" like that, it's usually just used for a really stupid idea in general.

When you think someone is more attraktive dating having a lot of beer, it’s called ølbriller.. beer glasses 😂 like eye glasses

As a Dane, ølforskrækkelse is the worst. Thats why we go to Germany, and buy tons of it.

I took German in college is I liked using ‘Kindheitstraumberuf’ to explain the German love for compound words. ‘Kindheits’=childhood, ‘Traum’=dream, and ‘Beruf’=job. Literally the dream job you had when you were a child

Germany and Denmark are friends now, as expected. Beer creates stronger bonds that even fevicol cant.

I love hearing the different ways cultures describe things! Every language is a wee bit different and it’s so fun.
