Emergency Reset of Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 7

There are a lot of comments here that show that folks are somewhat unsure what this reset does. If you arrive at this video and are curious what specifically this will do...

- X1 Carbons have batteries that are not removable without pulling the bottom of the case off (after removing the screws of course). This pinhole reset accomplishes what would be done on a standard laptop with a removable battery when that laptop is unplugged from power and the battery is removed.
- This pinhole reset does NOT wipe any data, it will simply accomplish the same thing as taking the bottom panel off and physically disconnecting the battery.
- If your laptop is in a state where it will not boot for some reason, it is possible that this pinhole reset could help. It is not magic - but if your machine is in some funky power state this might help.

This literally helped me, my system was not restarting and on clicking this pin button and then starting the system worked as wonder. Thanks a lot.👍👍

Great solution, it worked with me, however, it's not a permanent solution. I am still having the same problem times and times again. I charge it for hours and it doesn't really charge fully, it drains fast and sometimes suddenly.
Any permanent solution ????
