Luna
This tawny owl has a history of egg failure and is known for raising foster chicks, but last year she raised two chicks of her own and now here she is again beginning a new clutch.
Tawny owl clutches
Tawny owls normally lay clutches of two to three eggs, although last year Luna laid four of which two successfully hatched. These owls normally lay in early spring, so Luna's timing is appropriate.
Next egg
Tawny owls lay once every three days so expect her to lay again on Feb 28th.
