What's the point of living if personal development is voided? We see how everyday young people are finding less and less meaning already. Having AI solve every problem will leave humans unemployed, vulnerable, and the powers that be will swoop in and take us at that moment. Wisdom is paramount. Don't do this, Musk.

The biggest issue people like Elon fail to take into consideration is human nature and psychology. AI may or may not be good or bad but the issue is how humans will choose to use it.

In his example of abundance and universal high income, I find that impossible to believe because people at the top will always want to keep as much as possible for themselves, whether they need to or not. As always happens in any societal model, whether modern capitalism or Soviet style communism, the elite get richer and more powerful and everyone else gets poorer and weaker with freedoms eroded bit by bit.

Other human traits like tribalism also play a massive part. How AI would be used to keep slow adopters down and out of the game. The people in those communities or countries won't be feeling any of Elon's "abundance".

If i don't need to create income, i'll be creating a beautiful and bountiful garden, play with my kids, hang out with friends, and indulge in hobbies. I doubt the future of AI is that though.
