What's your thought on the FAA/EPA industrial waste water issue? Let's talk!

The CNBC story is by a reporter named Lora Kolodny, who seems to absolutely _HATE_ Elon. Her story falsely claimed that Starship launches cause mercury pollution. Ms. Kolodny has an English degree, with a focus on creative writing. I'll bet that neither she nor her editors have ever darkened the doorway of a science classroom, and they don't understand that burning methane and LOX cannot create or release mercury (which is something that cannot be said with as much certainty about the Al-based SRBs used by some other rocket companies).

Why do major news organizations task scientifically illiterate people, with no STEM credentials, to work as "science journalists?" Is it just because they're cheaper to hire?

SpaceX should announce a delay in Artemis mission due to FAA delays...😂😂😂

Being an older space fan I’m always amazed at progress in the world today.

I’m amazed anything gets achieved at all these days? Instead of moving to the future, we’re surrounded by citizens that are more interested in voicing own concerns, just to promote their own self importance. Bureaucracy the distraction of Empires.

One step forwards (into someone else’s crap). Two steps back to wipe it of your shoe.

My god, if Elon and Space X had existed in the 60’s humanity would be looking beyond our solar system by now. You can’t comprehend how amazing that time was. From Kittyhawk to man on the moon 66 years. I’m glad I got see the end of that time. When technology wasn’t for bogging down progress from endless stalling opinions.

If we’re so advanced now, why do we hobble progress so badly now? For all the bad things that existed through my time I’m still here?

Just an old guys rant. Just get on with it ok? I was young once. Time flys. No point sitting on your hands listening to other peoples procrastinations. Nothing gets done. True?

Elon need to find a dormant volcanic island in international waters to build a new Starbase. And build a megabay that looks like a giant skull.

These United States are being buried in bureaucracy. The primary curse of government, is that it needs to justify its own existence and ever increasing budget. Regulatory bodies, like the FCC get tied up with other regulatory bodies who want in. What should take weeks ends up taking months and years and does not actually contribute to safety. This regulatory crap is strangling the entire economy.

Hmm... What's happening in early November? I feel like something important is happening then. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I'm sure there is something! :O

I'm still waiting for the (once anounced but not yet realized) sea launch platform outside the 12 mile zone which will end the jurisdiction of the FAA.

I'm disappointed and angry with the political weponization of the FAA.

Could we be seeing consequences of Elons support for one of the presidential candidate?

Any time government is involved, everything seems to take longer than it has to…

This probably is more political than we (public) would have believed. With Trump's threat of asking Elon to audit federal agencies if elected could be perceived as a threat by us gov agencies w/ the 3 ltr acronyms. Most of believe there a ton of waste at nasa

If Texas says there is nothing wrong with the water-that's good enough for me.

I am a little shocked that with all of the issues with the FAA, that Elon has not just moved his operations across the border to Mexico where the FAA has no jurisdiction.

Instead of commenting here on YouTube flood your congressional representatives demanding the FAA ease up on the delays

Imagine the shame if SpaceX had to delay ALL launches, in particular those for the gov't, due to SpaceX deciding to do safety inspections. No flights allowed for gov't contracts until FAA allows test flights.

Back away from this issue for a second...isn't interesting that none of these "necessary delays" occurred until Musk started bad-mouthing the current administration? And isn't curious that a final deliberation on the license won't occur until the end of November? As in "after the election"? This is the elephant in room. And this administration has a track record of retribution for dissenters. Just a thought, but one to consider.

why not do a flight 5 with the same mission profile as flight 4 while they wait for permission to catch? there's still lots to be learned about the heatshield
