DC is full of great neighborhoods. I would add CLEVELAND PARK to the list. It has a subway station, is a short walk to the zoo, is full of older residents (which is nice), is very safe and has a fantastic public library branch.

So I noticed you crossed the river and immediately returned to Mt Pleasant. So, South East made an Honorable Mention. LOL

I love this recap - my brother lives in the DMV and I’m considering relocating from the SF Bay Area. I’m concerned about transit options s because I don’t want a car. What is the best rental option near a Metro station?

That old story about Metro being kept out of Georgetown because of snobby residents has been dubunked over and over. The reason we have no Metro here is because there is no way to get under the river from Georgetown without a deep, deep station. Think about it: M Street is close to the river but is a hundred feet above it. To stay 50' below the river bottom, the shaft for the station would have to be 250' deep! It can't be done engineering wise

DC is really small. These so called “neighborhoods” are only like 2-3 blocks big lol. Im from here and can’t see me living anywhere else. Only problem is crime, its everywhere so beware.

Capitol Hill is sketchy af. Look what neighborhoods it borders. And they're not Chevy Chase, Georgetown, or Woodly Park.

Nice try...

whoever did this don't know anything about the D.C area because those neighbors where battle grounds way before the crack came into D.C. way back in the 60 and 70's if you going write about it learn the history I grew up off of N.E off of Benning Rd you Rosedale, Langston terr / Md Ave/Gale street
