It is a tricky Maths calculation example we have a problem in which the height of the table is not known. We will calculate the height of the table from the data provided in the example.

The height with cat, tortoise and table is given but separate height of table is unknown. which we will find out in this video lecture.

I would solve it the logical way. It appears to me very clear that the average height is the table height. This is 150cm. The cat is 20cm taller than the turtoise, but you can't tell the absolute height of the animals. For this you would need a reference to the floor which is not given in this example

I solved in 2 minutes
Simply gave tortoise and cat as 10cm : so total on both side are same table height ie 170 and 130cm

Then gave tortoise 10cm and cat 20cm, now table height became 160 and 140cm

So next gave tortoise 10cm and cat 30cm, table height 150cm on both sides, so 150 is the answer

If the height between the top of the turtle (on the floor) and the top of the cat (on the table) is 170cm and the height between the top of the cat (on the floor) and the top of the turtle (on the table) is 130cm then the height of the table will be half way between 170cm and 130cm 150cm
