In Spain I try to do more or less the same at the moment. No considerable rain for almost one year now.The completely dried out soil lookes very similar to this.

Amazing community effort. I didn’t even see a single machinery. Some of the money used in war should be invested to something like this, the world would be a better place.

I wonder how they protect the soil against being blown away by storms.
In Spain where we try to establish rainwater retention systems we have storms of 100, 120 and more km/h. Not sometimes but on a very very regularly basis. Often they blow a whole week long, night and day.
How can you manage this when the soil is just bone dry dust like seen here in this video?
