Israel and Hamas exchange blame for stalling ceasefire deal

Scripps News has heard from a number of senior Israelis who have accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of handcuffing negotiators attempting to broker a ceasefire deal with Hamas.

Secretary Antony Blinken said Monday that Netanyahu has accepted a proposal to bridge gaps in the months-long cease-fire talks and said Hamas should do the same. Hamas, however, has accused the US of embracing Israel’s demands and ignoring their interests.
