You aren't supposed to screw in the dipstick to check the correct oil level. You can do it, but it will show the level higher on the stick if you screw it it.

I was told the 30 amp plug only works with another 2200i generator connected to it.

I have studied a lot of these generators. I have a 2200 watt Honda generator now it will run rooftop RV air conditioners.but I'm still a little cautious to use it with an electric blanket on any inverter generator after burning up the cheaper Chinese 80cc motor sportsman inverter generator. The motor runs but it won't make any power the orange light stays on. I hear it's the inverter board that died. luckily they replace the sportsman for me for free but after burning up the first one I'm a little cautious and using it again with electric blanket. Has anybody had any luck with this?
