Isn't that real Ray Tracing? Pascal Gilcher RTGI Shader | Cyberpunk 2077 | Comparison

Notes:
The RTGI shader for Reshade (link below in the description) costs
roughly the same number of frames as the Ultra settings from the game, but looks a lot better in my opinion.
What do you think? Do you think Pascal Gilcher's RTGI shader looks more realistic than the in-game psycho settings?

another problem with reshades's rt is the lack of texture information too

Reshade's path traced lighting can't see beyond the screen or camera in the game, only makes rays on the screen, but fails to see other light sources.

I use this shader instead of the game's own ray tracing actually, found that the game's RT is way too shiny and blurry. this shader looks nice also performance friendly.

I really wish Older versions of RTGI were free, since Im not too sure if once you cancel the patreon subscription you can use RTGI anymore

You expect reflections on concrete at that angle in plain sunlight when raytracing enabled?

Hmm probably would just replace GI with reshade and leave the rest like reflections so its not ssr.

Just tried using it with valhalla. Turning it off now. The sun is this huge bloomed out thing. I can't get it looking right. Sucks I am being so picky because everything else is dope. Ended up crashing the game I messed with so many things trying to cut the bloom down

it s just like, max eposure i don t see any difference with the non ray tracing footage expect it s brighter

Nice review. But this mod need more work. It's good future already. Make old games run like new one.
One experiment for you. Can a you try crysis 3 whit ray tracing just for the experiment .

You have to learn that global illumination isnt in psycho mode
You have to download a mode to enable it

To answer the title... No, screen-space "injectors" cannot be real ray-tracing; they can enhance visuals though, but unless you extend the size of the render out of the space presented on your screen, it will also have visual drawbacks.

The reshade setting was way too much for my taste. There are too many colorlights bouncing of objects which would never would do that in RL.
But that is something which is happening with a lot of graphic effects use... too much. HDR, Bloom and even SSAO are most of the times way too much.

Even this damn flares from lights which CP2077 is creating are far from RL. Such flares I would be only able to see if I'm hammered up to no good^^

What a scam of a shader. They ask money for what is essentially just some post-processing effects, and it doesn't even look good.
