First days with a Green Cheek Conure #parrot #bird

Here is what we do in the first days with our new Green Cheek Conure. We want him to feel comfortable by giving him time to adjust and get used the environment and our routine.

Love this. I see too many people let their bird out the day they got the bird and the bird is either looks scared or just exhausted. We made the mistake of letting my rescue GCC out on day 2 (we opened her cage and let her do whatever she wanted) and she launched an attack on me and my partner. So we put her back and did target training and just got to know her in the first week.

What cage is the gcc in? I have a flight cage but thinking it my be to big for a baby gcc at first.
