I love how 49" is a little bit small now. What a time to be alive!

I think 4K 60Hz/Fps is THE sweet spot the next years. 120fps sounds nice, but you wont be able to hold 120fps all the time...unless you want less details . For now its better 4K 60 fps with all settings maxed out.

I was super nervous about getting a new TV. I already have a 4k 60 TV. Didnt even take into consideration that many of the games might not even take advantage of the 120hz! Thanks for the insight man! Really appreciated 🙏

Well considering most Games at the moment struggle to hit a solid 30fps under 4K, I will be happy to take a Locked 60fps at 4K

Average consumers don’t understand these TVs. Even my father in law, who is fairly tech savy for a boomer, had his OLED connected to an hdmi 1.4 receiver. His 4K blu ray player was feeding through the receiver. He has a large blu ray collection and has watched every one in 1080p with no HDR. Didn’t have the heart to tell him.

When he says “well how much money do you have”
Im broke but that statement made me want to buy a 4K TV

So glad for honesty on next gen consoles. No major games will run 4k 120. Most won't run above 4k 30. You are good with the TV you have now.

Considering Ive been gaming on console with only 30fps for the past decade, I am more than happy to get a stable 60fps in 4k.. I dont care about 120hz..

The answer is "How much you got?"

My 65" 2016 Samsung does 4k 60fps and I'm good with that. Ps5 looks amazing on it 👍

Yes thank you, 4k 60pfs is what is "needed" right now, so many vids out there saying otherwise it's awful.

Thanks, this was super helpful.
I recently almost bought a 4k 120hz monitor but didn't realise it didnt have the 2.1 port or that the technology doesnt really exist for them just yet.
Been at a loss at what to buy for a while but patience seems to be the way to go here.

Yes, you need to go buy the CX because it's absolutely beautiful.

The real question is how many games will actually run at 120fps in 4k? My money is none for at least a couple of years

I’ve just spent the last 3 years on a 750ti.. moving to the series x next week, So running it at 60fps (some cases) over 120 I’m happy with.

This video is pretty much EXACTLY my research process I did a few weeks ago, all the way down to looking at the RTINGS forums for the NanoCell doing 4K 120hz, then looking at the CX and debating the 3x price.

I still can’t decide though, I might just wait till next years models

I’m fine, I’ll stick with my 4K 60hz, my XSX still looks good

cheapest 4k 120hz tv is the lg nano cell 85 series 49”, 550 after tax at best buy and you can’t find a better deal. Trust me I tried. A lot of tv’s will say 120 motion rate but when you look into the actual specs it’s 60hz. But all of that being said, the tv is so damn amazing. The controller is like a wii remote so you can pretty much click anywhere pretty fast instead of clicking constantly, the resolution for xbox one s is immaculate. Just so you know, if your using it on an xbox one s or x you can do 4k 60hz not 4k 120hz. I thought i bought the wrong tv but it’s just the limit of the xbox. You can do 1440p 120hz tho and it makes your games buttery smooth. I would say it’s 100% worth the 550 because when the time comes and I get the series x the gaming quality will be insane.
