Watched tons of these all over youtube land. Seems that, like your great idea, the only ones that really work well are ideas that are hands on. A good service, scrap metal, cardboard, cutting lawns etc. The rest in my opinion is just well, lets just say the average guy cant make money with! Great idea and video man!

There is a cardboard recycling receiving center in my locale, and it is still going since at least the early 1980s. Once in the 1980s I passed by there and a temp working there told me that the big rig which had just been fully loaded was 23 tonnes of bailed cardboard. That was semitrailer, heavy rigid, not medium rigid truck. He stripped a piece of residual packing tape off a bale to lose some contamination. He seemed quietly satisfied with it as a completed assignment.

I'm recycling cardboard in Mobile Alabama as a side hustle. I get $150 a ton for baled cardboard, and $100 a ton for loose cardboard. I'm the process of purchasing a horizontal baler. Tons of money in cardboard recycling. 🤫🤫🤫

I will have to check around again. When im out scrapping i see dumpsters full of cardboard.I checked local prices on cardboard, paper, plastics and pallets. I stick with scrap metal. I swear the cardboard was like 20 bucks a ton or something. The plastic buyers wanted it sorted by the trailer load. The pallets get roughly 1 to 2 dollars each depending on grade. But yeah this is the problem with recycling. Look at all the energy put into mining metal and yet I'm the one out collecting the scrap and I get 1/4 of what the foundry is paying the scrap yard for it.

I like the idea. Dumpster divers through all thr cardboard out getting to steel. At 150 a ton bailed I've gone from a 4 yard dumpster tipped weekly at $200 to a large can.

I've added free drop off for my Amazon friends. I take clean packing materials, throw out the dirty stuff, and reuse in e-commerce orders. Sell the second hand boxes for a dollar.

Inspired. Will get back as I go along this year. I've save 750 monthly on tipping fees and getting $600 for bailed cardboard.

Hell yeah that's the best type of side hustle.. its already packaged for u .. all ur doing is moving it around almost zero labor... talk about a easy buck... its way different when I see the guys dumpster diving collecting, stacking, driving around site to site 2 get at least 1 ton

I'm planning on selling oxygen to aliens. I have bought 500, 000 jars which I will just seal with the lids as they are already full of air. All I need to do then is find a race of aliens who are short of oxygen and I can charge whatever I want. They will have to collect through as I don't have access to a space craft.

I'm in the UK, I drive a dumpster as you call them collecting general waste but so much cardboard is mixed in, the company I work for also collects cardboard separately, charge for collecting then sell it bailed. I'm seriously thinking of setting up myself.

Thank you so much for the video, I just seen a guy picking up loose cardboard from the streets of Clifton NJ and asked him how much would you get for recycling the loose cardboard, he told me $40 a ton. im glad to hear this still is being done. Sadly the recycling center i did most of my business with folded up i think in 2008. i did it for the money. i bought a wheelbarrow and a plastic tote that i took from business to business rain or shine now i would make about 1 to 2 dollars per day. Many told me it was not worth it but it was a penny per lb 2 cent per pound when the price rose. All i have to say is it was one more penny i didnt have before so i was happy doing it and i made the company lots of money. it was dirty at times but as long as u have ppe your good. Sure it wasn't a job where U going to find hot women lol

Yes.. That sounds like a great side hustle, even if you have to rent a truck or trailer. Loose cardboard is a whole nother story.

I'm pro-recycling, but wish I did have a sufficient yard to park the trailer. I just have a pickup truck, and a Honda jeep but that's about it.

Here in southern Idaho they don't pay for baled cardboard. The local recycler told me that around 2017 they were paying 20/ton.

Honestly this is I work for a company that has a big city come by and grab tons of it why not me
