The website you mentioned is no longer online. I was able to grab the .kml file from Wayback Machine, but it looks like the grids aren't stored inside the KML file, & are instead called from the offline server.

Why is this better that using lat/long? How many decimal places would be needed to achieve the same precision as plus codes?

Yo uso el plus code al momento de agendar un número de contacto de alguien que recién conozco, al ingresar su información entre ellas me pide la ubicación es ahí donde uso el plus code y así cada vez que quiero ver la ubicación de un contacto lo hago en la barra de búsqueda de Google maps y me muestra su ubicación exacta, fácil y rápido
