Steep narrow hill with dry gravel. In the beginning you can see where I wait for the haldex to transfer power to the other wheels. It seems that 3000rpm produces enough power for transfrering to other wheels.
Good test for diagonal wheel traction.

A good illustration of the versatility and off-road capabilities of these cars. I have a 2002 XC70 that performs very well even at it's extended mileage. I drove a new V90 T8 recently and it was of course better but not overwhelmingly so - the older Volvo designs still have a lot going for them.

Mine is an 02 model now at 129000 miles so quite 'young'...! I've found it to be a very capable vehicle in slippery conditions including snow and ice. Certainly built to last with the correct maintenance.

always got to let the computers think a bit on these, if you try to think for it it just fails.

Not bad for freeway shoes! I have a 03 and an 06 XC70. They get it in the deep snow, too.
Just snagged a 2020 Forester. We will see if it is as good as the Volvos this winter.

Impressive! I have a 2004 V70 XC with 305, 000 kms. Bought it new, well maintained. Best car I have owned. Use to take her on login roads for camping. Nothing as steep as your run though. Hope to get another 3 years out of it. Still love the car. No major problems, just replacing parts when needed. Volvo for life! Next one? XC 90 Recharge in Inscription trim - gently used CPO. Any opinion on those?

I've had the same exact model and color as this for a year now. Love it! almost 300, 000 miles on it. gotta get the haldex working again though.

why do you pulse the accelerator? You´re supposed to be slow and constant and not touching the throttle like the car is having a seizure or something

Hi. For those weels did you have to make a biger center hole? I found those weels on xc70 2007 with silver caps not with black and mabe they are with smoler senter hole 63.4mm ? I also have xc70 2004
