Dark Law Can Never Revive

Masked HERO Dark Law is a fusion monster with the condition where it must be special summoned with "Mask Change". Which is a quick-play spell card that sends a hero to the GY to Special Summon a Masked HERO monster with the same attribute.

But even if this rule didn’t exist, Dark Law’s text literally said “Must be Summoned with Mask Change”.
So if Mask Change specified the summon as Fusion instead of special, you still wouldn’t be able to revive Dark Law because it doesn’t have a classic fusion material requirement but a special condition that all Masked Heroes have.
If it said “Must FIRST be special summoned with Mask Change”, this whole video wouldn’t be redundant.

Actually a Collussus summoned with its alternative summoning condition is a proper Summon (As stated by the OCG rulings, but also the case in the TCG). Dark Law just says that it can only be Special Summoned with Mask Change, and no other ways. Funny enough, Colossus also has this restritiction (Can ONLY be summoned from the ED by Fusion or its alt Summon) so this short is also wrong in the fact that if you Fusion summon it you can revive it.

I think a simple errata of *_(This is treated as a Fusion Summon)_* for the Mask Change cards would fix that.

It's because it must be special summoned using mask change. If it said, must "first" be special summoned, then you could summon it back.

Idea for a “Mask Change 3” that focuses on getting Masked HERO’s out en masse:
_Mask Change III_
Quick-Play Spell
_This card's name becomes "Mask Change" while in the hand, Deck, GY, or on the field. Target any number of "HERO" monsters you control (Min. 2); Shuffle them into your Deck, also, after that, if they left the field by this effect, Special Summon an equal number of "Masked HERO" monsters from your Extra Deck or GY with the same Attributes that the shuffled monsters had when they were on the field (their original Attributes, if facedown). This is treated as a Fusion Summon. If a Monster(s) Summoned by this card would leave the field: You can Banish this card from your GY; Shuffle those Monsters into your Extra Deck, then Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower “HERO” from your hand, Deck or GY. You can only use each effect of “Mask Change III” once per turn._

This is incorrect, it says “Must be Special Summoned”, whereas ABC-Buster Dragon says “Must first be Special Summoned”, that’s the reason why it can’t be revived normally, even if it was summoned properly

so in short, you can only revive a moster when that monster is "properly summoned" and this apply to all xtra deck monster. for example if you summon an xtra deck monster via "special summon" instead of "fusion/synchro/xyz/... summon" you can't revive later

Rulings guys, all i know is that if a monster wasn't properly summoned, It can not be revived at all. MUST stated, "This is treated as xyz/syc/fuse exe. summon"

If ignored summoning condition still can't revive it.
