F-22’s are super advanced, but they cannot takeoff from carriers.

The F-18 is like the Navy equivalent to the F-16 they do about the same rolls

Most hornets and super hornets are known for being launched from US carriers.

The cost to fly the F22 per hour is between 3 to 7 times higher than the cost of flying the F18 depending on which numbers you believe. The F35 costs about 60% per hour to fly compared to what the F22 costs. The SU-27/22s were Syrian air force planes, not actually ISIS. F22s were designed to fight other planes rather than ground targets even though they can carry air to ground weapons. So, there would be no reason to send F22s on this mission to engage ISIS who only had fighters on the ground. Also, these planes were launched from an air craft carrier which the F22 was never built/designed to be launched from or land on.

Wendover Productions has a video on the US military's global transport and logistics.system. It starts a bit slow, but gets very good.

F-22s are built to fight other jets they can attack the ground but their main purpose is to beat any other jet. At 18's are common of aircraft carriers they're slowly being replaced by the f-35 and this was a couple years ago this video at least

There is a video on YouTube showing the competition between the yf-16 and yf-18 in which F16 won and the f-18 was then adopted by the Navy to replace the aging and more expensive to maintain f-14 tomcat

There's mainly three types of attack aircraft air superiority that fight other jets close ground support which protects the soldiers and attacks ground targets and multi-roll like F-16 and f18 and f-35 they can do everything... But are not the best that anything... Multi rolls are the jack of all trades.

15 is kinda loud
35 is loud as shit cause it has the most powerful single jet engine in the world and it makes a serious HOWL, look up F-35's at Mach Loop in Scotland.
F-18C is a legacy Hornet, single seat, smaller aircraft.
F-18E Super Hornet is two seat, bigger engines, bigger wings, bigger chines/strakes, and heavier plane due to size, also comes in an Electronic Warfare variant.

Basically everybody was against ISIS, incl. Syria's Assad.
Russia supported pro-Assad Syrians.
The US supported anti-Assad Syrians.

F-22 why would anyone in the World put information out there for all to know WHEN THEY DID NOT HAAVE TOO, threat of what could be is sometimes as good as the threat that is; F-18 is more than capable of handling the threat at hand.

The syrian governments leader supported ISIS and Russia Backed the Syrian government. Because of ISIS attacks towards western powers the US went to war against ISIS but in a cold war style with the US backing a Syrian Rebel group(i forget the name of it)
