This was a very good Meetup. As someone who is investigating the use of Temporal, I would be very risk adverse to trust that PII data is "not inspected or persisted as Metadata" within their stack. I definitely lean toward retaining provenance of my data and using a FK to reference it in any workflow execution. Again, great Meetup!

I'm aware there is an external library that has a saga implementation for Temporal but it feels like expanding the SDK primitives with common workflow or activity patterns like saga, mutex, heaps wouldn't be a bad idea at this point. I only lurk in the slack channels but the saga and mutex especially seem common. It might just be me but workflows consuming out of order events as signals to process pops up quite often do to the amount of webhooks my software consumes events from.
