Ilive out in the country but work in a somewhat urban environment. I have a get home bag with a trauma kit and an ouch pouch with fire starting means and an MRE. I also carry a Glock 17 with 2 mags. My walk home if I had too is 3hrs give or take. Love your channel bro!

As always, you give excellent advice, and provoke "thought".
My answer to your first question in this video:
"Why would anyone be driving through an urban area in the first place?... People who either live in urban areas, or enter urban areas, have already put themselves at risk. Why do that? There is NO conceivable readon to EVER live or even enter ANY urban area. "Survival", is more than having an AR, Gucci or Plain-Jane. DO NOT EVER put yourself or others in a potentially dangerous circumstance.
"...if there is a doubt, there is NO doubt..."

I'm not driving through a kill zone with my family in a soft skin civilian vehicle. Make that 90 degree, and get the hell outta there. In the event someone is hit, you don't take the peddle off the gas until you're at a point of safety. I'd maybe add a Red Cross to my vehicle inorder to cause hesitation towards any attackers.

I lived in Skid Row LA, and have been to Compton. I carried a first aid kit with me at all times. I couldn't afford TQ's, or quick clot, but I had gauze, bandages and Ace bandage. By the grace of God I was never stabbed or shot (it helps to only travel during the day.) I also carried a CS Spartan with me. My biggest fear was getting into a fight, defending myself and being thrown in jail for defending myself. I did hear gunshots go off at night, and it really got lively on New Years eve, because idiots shot their guns in the air. I looked at living there as being behind enemy lines. Went about my business quietly, and didn't start trouble.

I'm not a combat expert but I practice the martial art known as "Don't be there." Meaning, don't put yourself in a situation like that if you can help it. It would be extremely foolish for a prepared citizen to get into an urban gun battle, during rule of law. The communist news media would have a field day with it. It would have to be a bad SHTF situation for something like that to happen and you would be a fool, because you would've had some warning signs before things got to that point.

Those tacticool fools have no idea of what it's like to live in an urban area.

I also lived through the 1992 LA Riot aka the Rodney King fire sale. The rooftop Koreans were in a similar situation during those riots. Many of them were in the ROK, knew how to organize, and fortify themselves.

Good topic to discuss. I bet most folks don’t think about that scenario

Same scenario single vehicle…

Top priority is to not engage. Bug out & do not go through the kill zone. If a child is injured, lay down suppressing fire only if there is no way to safely extract the wounded child. If there are others in the vehicle (i.e.: spouse) that person is responsible for the extract but only ahen I say it’s safe. While I stay in iverwatch position and determine where the fall ack location is. Once extracted, perform initial triage to stabilize the wounded to love and fall back to cover. Continue triage as soon as the fallback is secured. Then break contact as soon as practical.

So, to answer fhe scenario…

1) If I’m part of a mutiny-vehicle convoy, first order of business is to designate one vehcle as a recon screen, and 1 or 2 as some kind of QRF with no civilians as lead elements.

2) If the screen takes fire, they should immediately evade, without blown through the kill zone. If they get pinned, the QRF element engages to relieve the pressure. Save the screen vehicle of practical.

3) additional elements carrying non-combatants holds back as support for the others as they bug out.

If you have to get out of your vehicle, stay close to the motor. That's the toughest place for a bullet to penetrate.

3:10 an important consideration for anyone in my area, with its many bottlenecks.

One scenario, so many questions! These are tough questions that need to be considered in desperate situations.

Exit the area as quickly and safely as possible.

If you'd like, you could find the focal point on your lens and set it, so you can turn the auto focus off.

Either you’re from El Paso or you were stationed at Fort Bliss or assigned to CBP EP Sector. The details referenced were spot on. 🤝

Only hits count. Return fire to force contact to break off, then treat any injuries to be able to move to cover, and then treat injuries better until proper aid arrives.

Keep gate locked like always pop some popcorn and watch the show live on TV.

I’m not an urban type of guy and if I have to go to the big city I deliberately avoid high crime areas. My wife and used to go downtown to Chima Steakhouse and walk the streets after dinner but last time the street was infested with homeless mentally ill / drug addicts. Guess who doesn’t go to Chima’s anymore? Me and the boys? Sure! But I’m not deliberately putting my wife in danger over a steak.

If the wife is in the truck. She will be a human shield. LOL just kidding. I LOVE my wife.
Vehicles are bullet magnets. And with the flying shrapnel. You have to get off the X as fast as possible.
