Can you please elaborate on the setup. If GPON ONT is using PPOE, do you use the second router with same PPOE settings or dynamic IP?
Or is the second one just acting as an access point in bridge mode?

This is supposed to be an easy set up… or so they say. However, nothing is explained in full details.
Your video is - almost - helpful but still misses a lot of confusion I have:
1. I thought that buying the TP-LINK C6 would be a *replacement* for my VirginMedia hub, but everything I see shows it plugged in in series *with* my old hub. Is this correct?
2. My Virgin telephone service connection is a metallic plug (I assume with a pin in the centre, although I don’t want to unplug it to check). There’s a socket specifically for that on my old hub, but the TP-LINK has no such socket to accommodate it. Would I need some sort of adaptor?
3. There is no dedicated phone plug socket on the TP-LINK, while the old hub has a socket that specifically says “Tel”.

Completely confused. Any advice and/or clarification?

My requirement is 2-3 PCs, 4 smartphone & a TV. I have GX Platinum 4410 FTTH Gateway unit. I assume it is similar to yours since the ports are same (Fast Ethernet, Giga Ethernet, 1 Telephone, 1 Fiber).
As you said in a video, the provided device WIFI is so weak (It doesn't reach the same floor on the other side of the house). So I am thinking of putting Access Points around the house with the following setup.
FTTH Giga Ethernet → Router WAN, LAN 1&2 for PC, LAN 3 → SWITCH, SWITCH → 3 or 4 ACCESS POINTs.
I saw your Archer C6 Unboxing video. In that you have used smartphone to configure, later connected WAN to your FTTH.
Since I am in need of wired Access Points, Where should I connect & configure them? With the router or the gateway unit?
