Hallelujah!!! Thank you Nikon!!! Shutter angle has been my most hoped for feature for the Z9. How about open gate recording and desqueeze options as your next party trick? Too much to ask for?

Ricci and his content are one of the best things that Nikon has done for the community. Actual users (photographers/videographers) informing the community from within the company. I've enjoyed his thorough and detailed content for many years now. Legit he is the sole reason I didn't jump ship from Nikon between the Z6 and Z9. No other camera company does this for their community that I've seen. Thank you, Nikon, and keep Ricci's content coming.

Bravo Nikon. So happy I switched from Sony A9 II and A7rV about two years ago. My Z9 and Z8 are the best photo/video ‘investments’ I’ve made in the last ten years. No other company (Profoto, Apurture, Sony, Leica, Canon, Godox) has your level of commitment to improve and increase the capacity of their gear after it’s sold. I will say that all the video interface upgrades in 5, 1 should quickly be ported over to the Z8 and Z6 III. Many of us use at least two camera angles when recording interviews or events. I.e. A Z9 and some other Nikon. Shutter Angle is great but only if all of my cameras operate the same. Last thing I want to do is mix shutter modes on set.

Nice new stuff, but as I'm still hoping for Pre-Capture and multiple exposures in RAW, I really don't get how the Z9 still doesn't have Pixel shift and HEIF support, which the Z8 has had for months now.

Great Nikon! Love to see you keep updating your cameras, great philosophy. Please add opengate video format for use content on several platforms and formats and bird mode AF for Nikon Z6iii.

Ohh snap its Ricci.. glad Nikon is putting so much effort in improving their cameras. The Z9 is awesome, but, for us using a gimbal, we'd like these on the Z6 III.

As Z 8 user/owner, I think Nikon san understands my curiosity. None of these features impact bandwidth requirements of the firmware to the point battery power reserve of cooling are impacted. Yes, they are great features. Congratulations to Z 9 owners/shooters.

Lovely update thank you! Hope this comes to Z8. Keep em coming on the video front! better external monitor experience. ie blackout between recording clips and being able to view again. Perhaps display options for the HDMI like Panasonic does, and more stable touch to focus lets a rigged out cam really live. I'd also say a slightly more tunable ibis for handheld and moving with camera. Changable LUTS or at least add the RED ones for view assist, and Open gate could be good, but I record 8k Nraw anyway so always give myself plenty of space.

🔥 This update is a game-changer for video shooters! Finally getting shutter angle on the Z9 is huge—no more constantly adjusting shutter speed when changing frame rates. Just set it and forget it! 🎥👌

Also, the customizable waveform monitor and colored zebra patterns are brilliant additions. Nikon is really listening to video users and making the Z9 an absolute beast.
