Doom eternal is game difficulty done right. Options for casual and hardcore players, enemies that never feel cheap. And most important of all, even on the higher difficulties it maintains that feeling that you’re getting just a little bit further with each try. And as the challenge ramps up, so too does your arsenal of weapon options. One of the most beautifully balanced games I’ve ever played.

I feel like Doom eternal was so much more difficult than 2016. I played through 2016 with almost no problems. Doom Eternal kicked my ass super hard really early on.

I think RS: Vegas 2 is the superior game. Went back to it on my PS3 recently man I forgot how much more difficult Shooters were in the "Noughties" and unforgiving. Hell the 1st 2 COD: MW's are way more difficult than any of the last 2 generation's CODs.

I've played most the games on this list. They're all a blast so, even if you're not hardcore (I don't think I am) you can have a lot of fun.

Rainbow 6: Vegas 2 is my favorite game of all time. I've been playing it since release day and it still manages to humble and get the better of me. i wish they made a part 3 instead of siege (or at least put in split screen).

Also Hell Let Loose and anything made by Tripwire are great hardcore Multiplayer fps games that can always use more players!

Nice to see some love for Unreal Tournament 2004. It's a beast of a game and the genre owes a lot to this franchise

I love that RB6 Vegas got some love, I played the death out of both of them in the 360 days, single-player and multiplayer and while I love Siege, it's not quite like Vegas was.

Played CS back in the CS 1.6 if I am not mistaken. playing in internet cafes was a blast during college days the trash talk was fun and annoying in LAN matches.

I tried playing Doom Eternal on Nightmare Difficulty cause I had completed Doom 2016 on Nightmare difficulty, I couldn't get past challenge room in the second level. Doom Eternal was an excellent choice for the #1 slot.

AMAZING list Jules. I've played them all for many hours and I loved this list. R6 Vegas is one of my favorites ever, and Operation Flashpoint never got enough love! For me, I feel that R6 Siege was the ultimate first person tactical shooter experience for me. I've never had so much fun online than when I was seriously trying to win at Siege.
