The Old Oberheim Matrix 6 was a great one . Years ago i used to have 2 keys versions and the 19inch rack . other great ones are Sequential Multitrak and split eight .

surprised the prophet-10 wasn't mentioned. Also the alesis andromeda, while not the most reliable, is not that expensive compared to something like a jupiter 8. But at that point I guess you could just buy a prophet 10

I have a Yamaha synth ... Its the first or second series they came out with. I still use it for recording. Its identical to the one used by Billy Powell of Lynyrd Skynyrd on the live show in Oakland 1977... In fact, I wonder if I have that one...
