The last time I was this early to a Brandon Acker performance, John Dowland had just released Lachrimae Pavan

I have so much respect for guitarists that can hit crystal clear harmonics like that. Just incredible

You play with so many feelings, it's heart touching.
I love that you've played this 3 times on your channel! Loved every single performance. Please continue to bless us with your talent. 😌

Deceptively simple sounding, but devilishly difficult to play like this. Possibly my favorite piece of music.

Every time I hear Gymnopédie #1 I am taken back to a small cafe on the Champs-Elysées. It was very early, I was up before everyone else and went out for a cafe au lait. It was drizzling with rain and I watched the drops spread in the puddles forming on the cobblestones outside while enjoying my coffee and croissant. A magical time!

Magical as I have never even been to Paris! Thanks for the trip, Brandon!

Your guitar version is my favorite iteration of Satie's piece since your first video. Well done sir.

Beautiful Brandon. I know 54 was very late to start Classical studies, but it’s been two years now & you continue to inspire me. My all round guitar playing has come on Lin leaps & bounds since I started adding some classical & flamenco pieces to my repertoire. Thank you again.🇦🇺🎼🎸👍

This piece is the sole reason I decided learn the classical guitar. it's so peaceful and mysterious at the same time. Gorgeous!

This is Amazing 😍😍😍
So soft, calm, beautiful and melancholy! This performance and this music are indescribably wonderful!
It's a mix of 2 geniuses, a composer and a guitarist!

The natural harmonic at 1:49 is mind blowing. It’s perfectly in tune with the chord which isn’t easy at all and gives it a unique sound. Great job!!

So tranquil, so lovely, so civilised. Much needed in these times of horror and barbarity. Thank you Brandon

I've heard many performances of this, a personal favorite in the classical guitar repertoire. I was expecting to like Brandon's performance, but it really touched me unexpectedly. The nailless tone seems to especially suit the wistful nature of this composition. Bravo, and thank you, Brandon! —Tom

When I say you're probably my favorite classical guitarist of all time, I mean it.
I have many other people that I look up to when training a certain style or technique, but your interpretations and perfect executions are definitely one of a kind.
I LOVE this piece, I don't know why, but this one just hits different... and you made it, somehow, more beautiful!
