Thanks Brian. I’m really interested in how the halved corm does. I’ve done so thing similar with my red bananas over the winter. I’ve quartered the corm, and new plants grew over the winter in the house. However, subsequent times, I’ve gotten fungus gnats that ate the roots and it all went belly up. This year I tried another method of over wintering in an unheated garage. No water, no real light till March, now they’re in the greenhouse and doing splendid. Didn’t multiply, but I still have the 4 I started with. Here on Long Island, it’s getting into the 30’s at night, so it’s a very slow start to growing season. Better days ahead I’m sure. Keep us posted!
