Student training aid for how to carryout a continuity of a ring final circuit and polarity. Using a MFT Megger tester set to the ohms scale. Measuring r1, rn and r2 and then calculating R1 + RN and R1 + R2 to prove the circuit is wired in the form of a ring final circuit.

Videos are training aids for City and Guilds (C and G) and EAL courses Level 1, 2, 3 plus AM2, AM2S and AM2E.

Hi just a quick one
The test leads you use to test at each socket in turn, what is the rateting of the fuse in the plug top?

How would you test a r1+r2 on a ring where there is no CPC conductor ? Its a singles solid 2.5mm conductor in a metal conduit buried in a concrete wall. All the metal conduits are used as a CPC for all circuits lights, sockets, fused spurs, etc. So the conduits are linked to all the back boxes and the metal consumer unit box.

This is in a 3 story building with 2 flat per floor let out for residential.
Could you do a video on this please.
