Great video. I'd say you were spot-on from start to finish. You mentioned the halting problem, but gave it no real context. Doesn't remove from the history, but it's burned in my mind that in sci-fi, the problem was solved in Blade Runner by creating the 4 year life span ;p Also not critical, but certainly another nail in the coffin with early AI was Skinner vs Chomsky. I'd argue that it cut the head off the top-down debate, at least in academic circles. And I get the whole golden age part, but because I feel neural nets were such a middle finger to GOFAI, I like to think of having a bronze age of AI, and then this new gilded age of machine learning. *not related to history, but with increase in CPU/GPU power, I'd say that most gains are still from brute-force methods (big data, tree search, etc).
