Thanks - great overview. For what it is worth, the speed at which you speak is perfect for an all-thumbs student (me) to follow along and match up the settings. Much appreciated.

Thanks to Nick RAINS for sharing his experience and settings of the Leica SL2. It's pragmatic and we can take advantage of this hindsight to save time in the discovery of this fabulous camera.

Thank you for making this helpful video, sir! I just got my hands on one and didn’t realize how simple and customizable the buttons were. Your explanations make sense and your particular setup reasoning gave me a lot to consider when shooting. Hope to see more relevant videos from you because they are worth viewing!

I could watch your videos all of the time! They're so insightful & pragmatic as I'm new to the SL2-S and Leica in general! I love photographing with this camera too (I came from Canon)!

Thanks for the video. That trick on cycling through the profiles to get different camera assistant views is very useful. The SL2 is a great upgrade.

Hi Nick, thanks for the great video. I am about to purchase the SL2s, I think. I am wondering if these are about the same settings I might "borrow" if I do get the s?

Question: in case of using back button focus, where you focus with the joystick shoot with the release button, do you have to hold down the joystick while taking the picture, or is it fine to just single focus by pressing the joystick once and releasing to take the picture by pressing the release button afterwards?

Coming to the SL party a bit late =, but if using Manual mode with either an AF or manual focus lens can you set and apply the front rocker switch to magnification for any lens used-even M lenses too? Thanks for what you do.

At 5:49 you said that you set White Balance to daylight because you are shooting raw. Could you explain why this is as I have never heard this before. Many thanks
