No challenging questions. All softballs. No followup questions. The price of access to high government officials by the media.

4:54 To paraphrase, he's basically saying if you're a young innovative person, spend some time with us so WE CAN STEAL YOUR IDEAS AND SPIT YOU OUT

Some of Vice News interests must be invested in by some conglomerate corporation because I got absolutely nothing out of this entire series. Canned questions canned answers. I must admit that not all of their pieces are the same. The specials about Ukraine and the like have been very informative and mostly neutral. Having said this though, whenever they do anything even remotely related to American policies over seas and at home it's always very vague and questionably biased.

Same weak interviewing from previous videos. Pretty disappointing. They might as well have mailed him the questions beforehand and check which ones are OK to ask. Maybe they did. A Fox news presenter might have asked more challenging and inquisitive questions ffs...

Thank you for your work shane. I appreciate the questions you were able to have answered, and they were also meaningful/intellectual  to me. Thanks.

He's a scientist!?  Hurray!  Elementary Particles!!!  I feel safer already.  Knowing there is brain in our Secretary of Defense.

It's quite a good feeling.

When the Secretary of War tries to convince you he is leading an agency devoted to "keeping us safe" and "protecting internet commerce" rather than what the DOD really does (dominate economically and militarily) they have lost all credibility. You really need to challenge his assertions, his false premises.

A patriot would take a run at the American Judicial system bitterly stacked against him and briefly get his head cut off like poultry.

Well, that was a toothless interview. I don't expect you to be able to hammer him (nor should you want to), but this was a bland interview with a few reassuring talking points that the NSA needs people to believe and little else.

Please people.  It's ok to disagree with Vice, Mr. Carter or anyone for that matter.  But please, please please try to use evidence to support your allegations!  Use the mind that you have to convince us that what your saying is true!  You all have the unique capability to use your intellectual ability and produce thought provoking arguments!!  Use your brain!!
