Is the NEW 2019 VW Arteon a GOOD or GREAT luxury sedan?

The ALL NEW VW Arteon iis finally available in the USA. The 2019 Arteon is replacing the CC in Volkswagen's lineup. Under the hood is a 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 producing 260 HP & mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Arteon has an all new striking design, sport back usability, and a upgraded luxurious interior. Has Volkswagen hit a home run with the 2019 Arteon?

I have one and I love it. There’s none on the road so far and it turns heads everywhere I go. The only thing is the headlights are very bright, too bright I might say, everyone thinks the brights are on and I get flashed. Other than that, an awesome car!

I think it’s a sharp looking car. I like some of the design elements VW is coming up with lately. The front grill looks luxury. If I wasn’t a Honda fanboy i might be into current VWs. They need to work on their interiors and make them feel less like a rental car. I liked the plaid seats in the GTIs, gave it some character.

Great Review Joe ! Always like the sleek look of the CC, never drove one. I bought a new Passat sedan back in 2000, it was a 5 speed Manual, loved that car, but 4 cyl. Turbo wasnt very responsive and sold it after about 2 years. Got hit with depreciation of course

11 years later i Wound up buying a used 2000 Passat, V6 wagon, GLS, drove down to VA with my ex GF and picked it up and drove it back to New Jersey where i was living with her.

Kept that car for nearly 5 years until I couldn’t get the car inspected anymore since the car’s computer wouldn’t communicate with NY DMV computers . 3 years ago i Wound up selling it for $1, 200 (bought it for $3, 500, didn’t get hit too bad with Depreciation)

This is my 2nd review I've seen of an Arteon. The first was an R-Line one. The more and more I see it the more I want them to boost the hp especially when you move up to the R-Line package. I pray ppl are safe out there with Dorian whether they stayed or not. Thank you for the review as always.

Joe the ecu limits power for the first 1000 miles to protect the power train during break In and requires premium fuel I have this vehicle in r line trim 4 motion with the 20” wheels the arteon does not lack in power my former was was a golf r so I think I can give a fair opinion

The VW Arteon is both GOOD and GREAT, in fact it is much better than the B8 Passat (I prefer the NMS Passat in GT V6 trim). And there's a company called Skoda who makes *overrated* cars. I'll pick VW, Audi and Porsche over Skoda any day. Hands down the best Volkswagen ever made, the only gripe is that they should offer the 3.0L TFSI Turbo V6 from the Audi S5 w/ ZF 8 speed auto, that would be a nice combo for the Arteon.

The European version of the Arteon is the one that should of came here to America with 280 hp and DSG 7 Speed automatic

Test drove it along with the A7 and A5. Has the looks but neither the handling of the A5 or the power of the A7. All in ll a blah of a car .
