I use exofficio and travel all over the world on extended trips many times a year. I just buy them when on sale and now 7-10 years later they are still holding up. I will agree to disagree.

Discount brands like Puma and Kenneth Cole are crap. Kenneth Cole and Puma don’t make underwear. They license their name for it. That stuff is garbage. That’s why it’s cheap. Exofficio has great fit, breatheability and it lasts.
Nothing wrong with saving money on cheaper stuff, but if treated well, Exofficio lasts forever.

its how they fit that make them unique honestly.. name brand helps but tried and true on many many thru hikes in every condition known to man.. now everyone is different but still

I've got 12 pairs of Give-n-go. The elastic on every pair "gave-n-went". Mine lasted about 3 years. Just not worth the money.

I love them. They don’t smell and are comfortable in the nads. Oh and dry.

A little late to the party with this comment but isn’t the big gimmick with exofficio that they lifetime replacement warranty? So while yes, you pay a lot for one pair, that’s the price you pay for a lifetime as opposed to gettting $4 a pair every 3-5 years? Maybe this warranty wasn’t around during the time this video was made but please weigh in.

You are comparing retail prices to discount store prices. That’s unfair to any product.

Alot of hikers, motorcyclists, etc disagree with you. The 6" sport mesh are going for $20 a pair, that's even better than UA which don't perform half as well.

40 bucks each, three years of being washed daily. Still good.

thanks for that video.
Just like others, i totally understand the "same material type" argument.
how s the fit and the durabililty in the Ex Officios compared to the cheaper ones? I have gotten the exerience that the more expensive brands hold up better (my under armour sports type boxer briefs hold up really well while H&M boxer briefs wear out and dont holb my balls as well in place any more... which is one of the key point of underwear for me.
also i try to develop my underwear selection away from cheaper cotton fabric. cotton is really breathable, yes, but like many other plant based natural fabrics, it also holds moistuer well, which is not what i want.

I will also try some merino wool/synthetic blend/mix type of sports underwear from icebreaker, specifically sewn in a way that there are more durable sections and more stretchy, breathable sections in the garment - and i will happily pay a premium for that additioanl functionality, if it is as good as they promise it to be.

after all, baselayers are extremely underrated in the whole discussion, allthough thats the most important layer for moisture wicking and comfort.

I understand the cost and same material specs... but it doesn't have the same bacteria and scent killing fibers in the threads as Exofficio's do..
Unless the Puma/ Kenneth Cole's you picked up do, which I'm doubting
