In the Back Room tackles identity and is inspired by syudou's (the writer of this song) childhood obsession with pop star Kenshi Yonezu, and how he felt he lost his own musical identity by trying to be Kenshi instead of himself.

i can't describe it well but this sequence of lines is really good. like, the wait slant rhyming with escape but escape also has the "p" sound from loop. and then loop and room both having the "oo" sound. ogauguh it's so good
