Farmer's markets can actually cost you more than the grocery store.

The problem is that it takes everyone in the household to help. I try to do things to save money, but my family does things like leaving the lights on, not using up all of a product and throwing it out, and wasting food. There is only so much we can do.

No point telling people to spend less than they make; many are not making enough to cover soaring inflation. Best tip learn to stretch yr dollars further e.g. use 1/3 of recommended washing powder; shampoo/conditioner; dilute yr milk with water; only buy supermarket items on special or half price. Most of all be kind to others + people will be kind to u 💞

I already sold 90% of my handbags. I am running out of things to sell.
#29 calculate how many hours you have to work for an item, before buying it. Makes sense.

I love my Crock-Pot. I put 3 lbs of Chicken in it every other week. I have a number of different sauces I use to cook the chicken with. I divide the Chicken into 7 Containers and Freeze them. I either use them for Wraps or Salads. I use my Crock-Pot so much, I covered the Burners on my stove with a Laminated Panel (Made for a Metal Tool Box sold at Home Depot.) and created a Shelf for my Crock-Pot on top of my Stove. This way I can still Bake, but have more counter top space by using the top of my Stove.

Save your spare change in a container or bottle, it adds up!😊

Dryer lint filter should not be cleaned only once a week.
If you have a big family & do laundry almost everyday,
it should be cleaned every time after couple uses 🙂

OK great ideas & one of mine is-not buying a drink at $3 each with a meal at a restaurant & order free water with lemon instead & it's healthier too! And yes, I never use as much detergent as they say to & written grocery lists are good, my niece got me into this one recently! Also my goal this year is to stay out of stores as much as possible, unless I have to go there to avoid buying things I may not need & that's been working! And I agree, don't shop for groceries when you're hungry or you definitely buy more food, because everything looks good as you're starving! However, I didn't know stores put produce by the front door as a tactic to get us to buy more of it, that's an interesting fact I learned today! And sales & store brands are good if they cost less & usually the store brand tastes just fine to me! Coupons are great, as this summer, I got a buy one, get one meal free at a mexican restaurant & another restaurant sent me a $10 gift card for a meal, so that helps! You can't ALWAYS save on EVERYTHING, but cut down where & when possible! And since the pandemic, I am much more frugal & aware of my spending! With prices on the rise, if I have to eat bean soup, oatmeal, peanut butter crackers, tuna or a baked potato more often, then that's what I will eat! As for me--I eat to live, not live to eat mostly! Also, save change or a little paper money for a rainy day, it all adds up! As the saying goes--a penny saved is a penny earned! Also, look on the ground of a parking lot, when you're walking & you can sometimes find change, I find it that way quite often--I don't mind picking up a penny-it spends too! And yes be generous with others, as God will bless you back & it's so rewarding! And it can be a small thing that helps someone & brightens their day! There's so MANY little things to give or do, even when you don't have much or are on a small budget! We can all do something for someone--a relative, a friend, a stranger, a charity, a waitress or a worker that goes out of their way to help us or is nice to us etc! Even giving someone your time or encouragement is great-And my last tip is when you go to the Dollar Tree for example, give yourself an amount to spend & don't spend anymore than that & challenge yourself to maybe spend a few dollars less than the amount you gave yourself and give yourself a number for items you're buying, like only buy 2 bottles of handwash at a time instead of 5 that you wanted to try, this helps me so I don't over buy or stockpile items-Thank you!! Have a wonderful day!

Stop using paper plates. Use real plates and wash after use. Very economical. Stop buying bottled water - get a water filter.

Youtube is my Go-To for education on fixing things. A few weeks ago, my Fitbit died... I know its the battery... I searched on Youtube on my Fitbit Model, found a Video on how to replace the Battery. I fixed it for $10, including shipping. I didn't have to buy a New Fitbit; I really like my Old Fitbit Model "Alta".

We live in a very arid climate and instead of a dryer, we use a clothesline outside. Also we only heat/cool rooms we are residing in.

Have a maintenance schedule for everything you own. Work out a routine based on that and follow it.
This help you minimize your number of items, because you notice how much of your time and attention each item takes. Then, you have an easier time deciding what is important enough to have.

Bake your bread, cakes and pies. Measure your detergent with a tablespoon measure. More detergent doesn't mean cleaner. No use of fabric softener on cotton fabrics; they can't go static. Save money and environment.

Buying in bulk is not always cheaper. 6 cans of Pearl's olives in BJ's were $12.00 that's $2.00 a can. Price Rite had the exact same brand for $1.50 a can.

Clean dryer lint filter with each load. You can buy a dryer lint brush for around $10 (long metal flexible thing with brushes on it) . Use the lint brush once a month. Dryers are a primary cause of house fires.
